Protecting and comforting you underneath the organic cotton is the organic wool.
Sewn into the organic cotton fabric of the mattress is an
organic wool fire barrier. Other mattresses use harsh chemicals to prevent them from catching on fire while our organic wool is a natural flame retardant. You’ll sleep without having to worry about chemical flame retardants in your bed.
We only use materials in Spindle that will make our mattresses outrageously comfortable . That means starting with latex sourced from the Hevea Brasiliensis Tree. These trees can be harvested using sustainable methods for 25 years. And, we make sure that the latex we source is organically farmed.
Spindle is crafted by using the Dunlop latex pouring process. This involves using a centrifuge to whip the latex sap into a froth. Once that occurs, the latex is steam baked. This process ensures durability while still allowing for comfort and support.
