Protection: You will receive a raw piece. We recommend that you place the layer inside of a cover to protect it.
Aesthetics: Please familiarize yourself normal variations in latex foam. Since it is not everyday that you receive a raw piece of latex, you may see things that don’t look right. These are unique characteristics of latex. While we have strict quality controls in place, not every piece of latex will look or feel the same. Things that you may notice are surface discoloration, burn marks, the natural scent of latex, slight variations in color or appearance, minor variation in feel, minor tears in the latex less than one inch, etc. Some layers may show a thin ridge, off centered at the head and foot. This is not glue, but an impression left by seam in the mold.
Handling: Please remember to handle the latex with care to prevent any damage. Do not pull or yank on the latex. It will rip or tear. Do not put fingers inside the holes to move it around. Do not stretch the latex foam. Use a flicking motion to move it into place. Or, shake it like a rug to spread it out. If you tear it a little don’t worry. Tear less than 2” won’t affect the performance, but please be careful.
